Many thanks for the fantastic documentation of this project! A huge relief to have it behind you, I'm sure.

The modifications look great! This thread should be made a sticky so others can find it easily when dealing with this type of situation. I can't wait to see what it looks like with the engine box back on

Here is a photo with the hatch back on last weekend. (and yes, the transom name arrived much bigger than I planned, I'm redoing that to a more appropriate scale this winter also. :D )

That engine box looks better than stock and looks like a very comfortable usable height. Nice!

Just thought I'd share a few photos of the first trip since the engine mods got completed to kinda close out this thread. Labor Day weekend we ran about 325nm and all went good. Ran 2400 rpm (15-16 knots), 12 lbs boost with EGT 950-1025F depending on fuel loading. Ran mostly heavy with about 180 gal to start the trip. Max RPM FULLY loaded was 3025. Feeling good about next season for a run to Alaska.

Kids were out in the open ocean for the first time (versus usual boating in Puget Sound and San Juan's). Most importantly, they all caught fish and had fun. Saw Orca pod, humpback whales, sea lions, baby harbor seal and porpoises- kids were thrilled with marine mammal viewing.

Thank you again for everyone help and input on this project.

Just curious if this problem also applied to the later 370hp Cummins used?
