Sassafras Harbor Marina Get Together Sept 8th
Not an Albin only event. Anyone is welcome. This is a great bunch of folks from boatered.com. This year it's Stoney Creek. It would be great if we can get the crowd from the Solomons Rendezvous????
It's a decent location that will hold as many boats as we want to line up. If you look at the Stoney Creek chart, it's way in the back (1.7 mi past the drawbridge) where Brady Cove, Long Cove and Sloop Cove all converge. It's nice clean, quiet water, and it's 6mph on the weekend. The location would be N39.08.845 W76.32.868.

Forgot about Labor Day. The following weekend will work for us. Richard, I'm thinking about trip to the Wye. Will you be around this coming weekend?Richard wrote:We could probably make Sept 1 but do you really want to do it on Labor Day weekend? Could be a Zoo!
How about the next weekend (Sept or even the one after that?

Butch,
Where in Dundalk? I'm looking for a recommendation for a mechanic.
How about the 8th for Joe's marina?

This is starting to sound like a plan. I'll contact Joe and let him know he may have company that weekend.
Richard, can't make it to your place this weekend. I'll be moving the Airstream to our land on Dundee Creek. Time to "break out another thousand". Sheesh...it isn't even a boat!

I called today and made my reservation for September 8 at the Sassafras Harbor Marina (410-275-1144) and told them we may have several other Albins showing up on that date. Hopefully we can get a good turn-out. I talked to Gaylord at the Marina and he was going to pass it along to Joe Smith that we are working on a gathering on that date. Gaylord asked if there was any thing we might need and seemed glad to hear that we were trying to get a group of Albins together.
If you think you can make it, chime in so we can get an idea of the number of boats that may be coming.
This marina (about six miles up the Sassafras River) now has the Chesapeake area dealership for Albin and we met the owner Joe Smith at our Solomons Event. Joe is a great guy and I am sure he will take good care of us.
Hope to see you there.
