Grip or Handle for sliding windows

I ordered two clear sets. One for the front and the second one for the back of the window. The previous owner used 5200 to seal the metal trim on the forward part of the window. However, he placed the trim flush with the bottom of the track instead of flush with the top of the track. In order for me to open the starboard window, I have to lift it up a 1/2" and then I can slide it forward. Getting the 5200 out to reseal the trim is going to be a project. I intend to use a razor blade type knife and heat it up with a small butane torch. I hope that will get the bad boy out.

Are the front panes supposed to slide back? On our boat, only the rear panes slide - forward, of course. The front ones look like they should slide, but they don't.

Yea both panes slide on mine too. yours are prob just stuck in place...
Can you post pics of them installed? Considering clear vs white and can't decide...

P.S. Thanks to Rob's advice, we've had the black pulls for a few years. They work great, they're unobtrusive, and they never look dirty.

I wonder if we'll ever get the front panes to slide. Maybe try it with one person inside and one out. I'd like to be able to clean the overlapping portion of the glass.

That's how we opened ours to treat them with the liquid rollers. Pushed together and rocked them open!

Nancy, try using suction cups. Harbor Frt has a product that is inexpensive. If you need the real deal order from Seasucker or a pharmacy store. They sell suction cup handles for those of us that have issue with getting our fine Grecian athletic bodies out of the water and we need something to grab on.

Great idea, Max! Even better, I have a dockmate who has one I can borrow. We had it a few weeks ago to try on our transom. It worked fine, but we decided that we're still agile enough to get out of the water w/o it.
