Hello from SE PA!

Post by deniseO30 »

Sold my sailboat last year. I've, what seems to be a growing love for the A27!
Not sure when if I'll be one of the family here but I think I'm going in the right direction.

Permission to come aboard? :)

Absolutely! Welcome aboard! We have an A25 moored out in Hood Canal on the Puget Sound. Drop by when you're in the neighborhood.
This is a great forum, you will meet all kinds of knowledgeable and helpful folk here.
Read all you can read, there is a lot of overlap and plenty of non-model specific info here, wherever it is tucked away.
Cheers!

hopfuly it the right move for you a few years ago I sold my sailboat bought a albin 43 but feeling the need to get back to sailing , so beginning my search for the right sailboat agen , trawler just not my thing , I seemed to get out of the slip much more with the sailboat , the trawler you need time and a destination ,sailing you head out let the wind blow you around a few hrs and you feel like you went somewhere but you don't start the trawler to motor out the creek and back, so ill have a 43 for sail sometime soon

Welcome aboard! Way, way back in the day, talking 1960 here, my dad would drive us from Barnegat, NJ to the grandparents home in Palmerton, PA via the Burlington-Bristol bridge. We woould always stop at McDonalds in Bethlehem for 15 cent hamburgers, 10 cent fries, and 25 cent milkshakes.

That's all I know of Bristol, PA.

Life caused us to sell our sailboat, looked long and hard for a boat that would fit our needs. In our price range the 27 FC best fit our needs. It has been a great choice, not saying the eye is not still drawn to the lines of the sail boats I see. When we pull into a new dock the 27 never fails to draw positive comments. Thanks, Mark.
