How did you hold the backing plates in position while setting? What kind of epoxy did you use?

Typically I use strips of gorilla tape to hold backing blocks in place. And I started to in a few places. But coosa is 30-40% lighter in weight than plywood so it's very light relatively. Using west system epoxy mixed with coildal silica mixed to about peanut butter thickness --they held themselves in place

I'm almost done. I've done the pilot house roof to. Rick and JT I wanted to use teak but ended up using plastic foam trim from Lowes it looks like mahogany and it really cheap in price. Pretty easy to bend and twist. I hate plastic in my house it's all wood I never thought I would use something like that but it looks real good believe it or not matches the rest of the wood real nicely. If it disintegrates I'll replace it. I can't finish it all the way because I have to put the hand rails back on the outside of the boat first. They get tightened from inside. JT I don't think a big pattern would work. I started from the center and worked out. Making patterns worked when I got to the sides. All and all I'm happy just hope the glue holds up. Gorilla construction adhesive seemed like the thing to use. I will let you know in a year or two.

Roger can we see pics of the "almost done" ? I'm almost ready to remove the overhead liner. Thank god for marine a/c. Almost impossible to work outside the cabin in the south Florida heat and humidity.

Re photos , you may have noticed the photos come out the right way up when you double click to enlarge them.
If you are using an iPhone for photos it a weird thing I've noticed before with the apple thing.

Agreed.... Now just trying to figure out how to downsize the resolution.

On an I phone/ iPad if you use the "photo stream" the photos are smaller than the "Camera roll", but look the same , at least the forum thinks they are smaller., works for me.

Sprig: how did this project finally turn out? I'm in the process of putting up my battens. I've found that I can't use long strips, but instead have to go with multiple short pieces due to interior hull imperfections and curvature. Using PL Marine adhesive, good results.

Hi JT it turned out great. I have to put up the trim and I'll be done. I haven't done much lately been really hot. Nothing has fallen down in the heat. Gorilla construction adhesive is working

Battens glued in. I ended up using 1" wide trim strips approx 1/4" thick.

Well got new headliner done in the forward cabin. I liked the way it turned out. All done but forward piece at the the top. Just haven't tacked the time to figure out how to do it. It is all very easy to take down. If you have leaks in the cabin hand rails. Here is some pictures.
