Re: 2016 rendezvous
Dave, I will check the tides for you guys. Come in at high and leave at high. Only kidding. I am planning to have some of the larger vessels moved over to the main dock due to the MLT at the transient dock.

Re: 2016 rendezvous
The bottom is duck poop, I really wouldn't worry about it Max. I draw 3 feet and have been on that floater and never saw bottom but then again the water there is darker than Starbucks French Roast. Well look at the bright side at least she's getting a fresh water flush!

Re: 2016 rendezvous
I am planning on having a 50/50 raffle for $5 a ticket. Half goes to the winner and the other half of the proceeds will be sent to John Collins at AOG to cover expenses associated with the web site. We will have an area to tell tall tales, sea stories and other "once upon a time" fables. Saturday night will be Margaritaville night. Please dress accordingly. If you are unable to attend, we will be at the tiki bar by the pool.
See ya next week.

Re: 2016 rendezvous
I've already told our fearless leader but shady lady won't be making it. Her engine is being replaced as well as fuel tanks etc. serious overhaul that was unexpected (not because of the motor)

Re: 2016 rendezvous
Jeremy are you replacing the whole power plant or a rebuild. The previous owner of my 28 had a 300 "The Beast" (Great movie about the Russians in Afgan land" with a 315 Yanmar. When I purchased the boat she only had 44 hours on the engine.
Good luck
Good luck

Re: 2016 rendezvous
Im getting a long block and they are going through all the external bits to make sure they are 100%. I considered swapping motors but I really don't have an issue with the motor I just think it's tired and needs some touch up anyway, so why not...

Re: 2016 rendezvous
Hi Max and everyone going to the rendezvous,
Chris and Diane are coming Friday afternoon on Midnight Rambler IV and wondering if there is a schedule of activities? In the past Saturday night has been potluck dinner, anything scheduled for Friday night or any lunches or breakfasts? What can we bring to help out? Extra food, plates, utensils...Lawn Jarts or a Pinata with a big stick....
Let us know, we are looking forward to seeing everyone!

Re: 2016 rendezvous
Chris, as of now the theme for Saturday would be Jimmy Buffet aka Margaritaville. Pot luck on Saturday is a great idea. IF you could get your 200 ton Yacht into the Peconic River we could party on that like the rich and famous. The marina has a small area for us to hang out. I tried to get a pavilion, but it is already booked for the hotel. I have requested extra chairs and tables to accommodate our group. If two boats would bring a pop up canopy, that would be helpful. I have one.
I am expecting a package from John Collins with Albin related giveaways, but I haven't received it yet. I planned raffle for Saturday night. In regard to Friday night, I was playing it by ear I have the bags that I promised. (In fact I tried to get a picture of Kenny Rodgers on yours, but their wasn't enough room).
Perhaps it is too late, how about a grab bag for Saturday night. Something nautical between $20-30. Just a thought. Any comments would be appreciative.
Thanks for your input.

Re: 2016 rendezvous
Hey guys (and gals),
As of right now I am hoping to join you all in Riverhead. Since every year seems to require a challenge - Kat's having surgery this week and my attendance will depend on how well that goes. Assuming everything is good I'll be heading over from Essex Friday evening, but that could change to Saturday morning. I plan to stay until Monday. We'll see!
Keep your fingers crossed for me!
Best!
