Yammer engine wash down
Hello: I am a new Albin owner , a 2000 28TE, with a Yanmar 315 engine. My boat was in freshwater since new and it will now be on the west coast in saltwater 6 months out of the year. Is there a washdown valve or fitting on the engine to flush out the saltwater? Also just learned from the forum that zincs were needed on the bow thruster. I changed them on the rudder and trim tabs. Anywhere else I need to put them? Thanks for your help

You've got a number of zincs on the raw and fresh water sides of the engine also. This will remove the need for you having to flush the engine through after use.

For your first set of new zincs for the engine, I would suggest you spend the money to buy a new set from some reputable company. For example, I bought our first set from: http://www.boatzincs.com/yanmar_engine.html
I've added the page from the Yanmar Engine Manual that shows you where to put the zincs.
