Wheelhouse Carpet

Post by obertra9 »

I have a 1990 A27 SC. This has a step up from the cockpit to the wheelhouse to enable the height of the Isuzu 157hp diesel. The step keeps it pretty dry. To reduce the engine noise I have a 1/2" rubber cover over the floor and then a carpet. Does any one have experience with a good marine carpet with some type of rubber backing? Need manufacturer, type, and retailer. No need to snap it down, as the 1/2" rubber cover keeps things from moving.

I went to Home Depot when I did my 27. They have an assortment of inexpensive outdoor carpet.

I found a nice weave looks like sea grass at Target cut it into three pieces so I could get at hatches and had the edges bound
