Exhaust flange leak!!!! READ

Today we pulled the exhaust flange due to a slow leak as others have expressed. What we found was interesting. See th pic below. While the flange was adhered well, it is interesting that only 2 of the 6 screws were actually into pure fiberglass. ( forward and aft). The remaining 4 screws either barely touched the fiberglass and one completely missed. The screws were the source of the leak.

I am re bedding the flange with new screw holes to penitrate the fiberglass to give addtl support.

Just fyi for those with this issue.

I edited your post and "righted" the picture orientation.

Don't think your alone....I think every Yanmar 28TE is just like that.

Get everything as clean as possible and use an "adhesive" sealant. You should also be able to through bolt a couple of them.

Bed some marine plywood behind it for backing and seal the wood before adding the flange again. It will take a few extra steps but give you plenty of holding power.
