Hi AOG,

New Albin owners -1998 28TE with Cummins 6BTA5.9. We got Dora Jo last weekend, formally of Eastport. As former sailboat cruisers and current rockfish/speckled trout fisherman, we are real excited to be new owners of this fine cruising/fishing machine!!!

We look forward to seeing fellow TE owners on the water this summer.

Congrats on your new boat & welcome to AOG!

Solomons is one of our favorite places on Chesapeake Bay. Which marina are you in? We were out there last summer having towed our Albin 25 from Arizona. We also met a 28TE owner over in Cambridge in the yacht basin next to the Cambridge Yacht club. We are also former sailboaters, switching from a wing keel Catalina 25 two years ago to our current Albin 25.

May I suggest the first thing you should do for a shakedown if you haven't already is take a run up St. Leonard's Creek for dinner at Vera's Beach Club.

Welcome, just a bit north of you in herring bay. Maybe see you out on the water in a couple weeks looking for one of the Trophies.

Thanks for the kind greetings. Flag Harbor is about 1.5 miles north of the Nuclear plant. A great location for fishing the discharge, especially this time of year. We always love going to Vera's, especially by boat!! This summer, we plan to spend several weekends in Oxford, St.Micheals, Kent Narrows and other great spots on the Eastern Shore!!!

Congrats on your new Albin 28TE. We have the same boat - a 1998 28TE with the Cummins 6BTA5.9 diesel engine. We purchased her new and continue to enjoy her. The engine does an excellent job of getting the boat up on plane and only burns about 8 to 9 gal. per hour at cruise speed of 23kts. Max speed is 25kts. We did have an issue last year with the turbo charger and decided to install a new one. It runs better now than it did new. I hope you will enjoy your boat as much as I have enjoyed mine.
Best regards,
Ray

Dora Jo is a nice looking 28TE; she'll certainly spruce up the middle bay. Look forward to seeing her around.
