-30 wind chill, looks familiar - love the pic. Can hardly wait 3 more months until thaw.

-30 wind chill would be a warmish day in Ottawa...we had -42 this morning. We hope to get down to Florida soon however, despite the weak loonie and at least look at some Albins.

Come on down to the Desert Southwest! There are Albins now enjoying blue skies and warm weather in Arizona. That Polar Vortex has missed us completely. In fact, we've been setting records for warm, almost hot weather. Supposed to hit 90* F (32* C) here by Wednesday.

A25 "La Dolce Vita" on Lake Pleasant near Phoenix just this past weekend. Temperatues topped out here at 82* F, (28* C) on Saturday, 2/13/16.

Do Albins run in fresh water?

They sure do! Think the mighty Ottawa River and the historic Rideau Canal...to say nothing of the Great Lakes.

They actually do it in skinny water. They don't need that thick salty stuff to keep them afloat.
