Albin Owners In The UK Rendezvous?

Guys now there are a few of us on these boards I was wondering, would any of you fancy a get together at some point? Logistically it's not going to work getting all the boats together but maybe an evening out somewhere reasonably central? Obviously if any of our American cousins are visiting the UK this year they'd be more than welcome.

Just throwing the idea out there at the moment but if we could make it work - I'm sure it could be an entertaining evening sharing stories of our boating histories!

Let me know what your thoughts are and if the numbers seem feasible maybe we should do something?

Well there is you, me, Roger (Smacksman) another guy called Graham who doesn't post that often and the two guys in Portsmouth also with 28TE's that I know of. I'm guessing there must be some more out there!

I'm up for a yarn over a pint , though I plan to be on Free State in April/May/June.

I'm thinking maybe October. I shall be heading over to Alderney for a few weekends away this year and no dates are set yet but it could be anything In between April to September depending on tide and weather.

That fits better for me. I'm helping a friend sail his Albin Vega 27 sailboat from Suffolk to the West Country in July then earning a few brownie points taking my wife up to the Scottish North West Coast in August.

sounds good to me - whatever we do we'd need to make it central as best as we can anyway.

It might be worth adding everyones details to the owners map - you'll need to message John Collins with your details then if there is enough of us and its viable, perhaps we can work out a location from there?

Afraid I can't get there this time as FP2 will be out of the water for annual maintenance. Shame you're not up at the old HMS Dolphin as its five minutes from my workshop.

Tree - As you have no doubt guessed; I am (was) intimately connected to Dolphin, and have retained the whiff of diesel ever since. The reunion is for "Andrew", whose sister, Alliance, is up on the hard at the museum. (That's Andrew's gun BTW). Have fond(ish) memories of Gosport.

Well if you're ever up this end of the country I'll happily take you for a tour of the newly refurbished Alliance. She's just undertaken millions of pounds worth of lottery grant funding to stop the outside from rotting away.
