Part needed for genset

Post by kathylsails »

The genset on our 31 FC is being rebuilt and the mechanic is having difficulty finding a special bolt for the valve. It is longer than the standard size. The bolt is hollow for fuel to flow in. Metric size 12 mm with a tread size of 1.5, length needed is 30mm. The standard size is 12mm tread size 1.5 length of 25 mm.

He has checked numerous places to find one. Does anyone have any ideas where one could be found?

THANK YOU!

If you are struggling to find one then I am more than willing to make one. M12 X 1.5 is a standard size over here .Just let me know the size of the hole through it and if it's a hex head etc. I'll get one of my guys to make something up and I can send it over.

I assume you are looking for a "banjo bolt"?
12mm x 1.5 x 30 mm.
Have you tried ebay? Lots of them listed there.

Here's one that is 31 mm long. Found it in a couple of minutes. Is this the correct style? Easy to grind 1mm off it.

Summit racing also has many pages of them. They don't list the length. You could call and ask.

Thank you for all your help! The mechanic has been having a tough time finding parts for the Entec West genset. This was the last part, we hope!

Mastry Engine in St. Pete, FL bought Entec West a few years ago and still support the product. Before selling my 28 that had an Entec I had ordered a few parts from them.
