Drilling into hull

Post by sweetwater »

Hello all: I am replacing the external raw water strainer with a south bay strainer...(for the engine). The holes will be in a different location. Does anyone know if that area is solid, or is there coring around that area as well?
I have the same question for the exhaust exit on the boat. I had a nice stainless one made to replace the factory plastic port. I will need to fill the old holes and re-drill new ones for thru-bolting. Also cored in that location?
The boat is a 2005 flush deck
Thank you!

Hello Mike. I think you're subject line says it all, just drill it and find out. Too many inconsistencies and unknowns with Albin's builds to be sure otherwise...
