Need swim platform dinensions

Post by Jeremyvmd »

As the title suggests can someone measure they 28te factory swim platform? I just need length and width, mine doesn't have one, planning on getting a plasteak platform, but want to make it close to factory size...

I'll second that request. This is on my winter to do list. Need a place for the new hard (Livingston) dingy we just got at the end of summer.

I can't give you any dimensions but out of curiosity, why wouldn't you put a swim platform on that fits your need rather than one that is the original size which ultimately might not, down the road, fit your need?

I have a factory swim platform and IF I ever need to replace it I can guarantee that it will be larger than what I have now. Our dinghy davits are mounted on the swim platform and a larger sized platform would make some sense in that regard.

Good luck.

I wanted to know the dimensions so I would have something to compare to. I've been on 28s with the platform and thought they were a good size for what I was gonna use it for. Just a point of reference.

Incidentally a member emailed me the dimentions. They are 21 3/4 by 101 3/4... I think I'll do 100x24. I don't want it to stick too far out

In my opinion the factory ones are too narrow. I wish ours was wider - maybe like 30"+. I'd like to be able to fit a chair on the platform.

For me 30+ would interfere with fishing. If im sitting back there im sitting on the platform with my feet in the water. Lol.
