Hi all,
My wife Dusty and I are new owners of a 1998 28 TE that we drove up in late October from Stamford, CT to her new home in Potts Harbor, Harpswell, ME. It was a great introduction to our 28 TE; following and beam seas from Stamford to Buzzards Bay in 10-15 K winds, dead into 8-12 ft seas up to Gloucester, and a complete reprieve on the last day with calm seas and no wind as we arrived in Potts Harbor in late afternoon.
Our last day began with a motor that would not start. No juice to the glow plugs was the problem and a quick call to Peninsular identified a replacement part available at the local NAPA store. We were on our way by mid morning. I have read in many AOG posts about the helpful folks at Peninsular, and I want to second that!
The morning after we arrived, the boat was on the hard and is covered and winterized. So AOG has been essential reading as I look forward to the spring. This is a great site!
Regards,
Jan Jaworski

Jan: Welcome to the group and congra's on the fine boat. Must be hard to put it away just after purchase, but well great time ahead next season. I did my winterization last week in the NW Puget Sound area. Had an email overnight they are experiencing some tens there. So putting the boats away can be good.
