Who knows what this is?

Post by JT48348 »

Weird little metal dog tag looking things on the rub rail and on the rubbing strake. It took me some investigating with a magnifying glass to figure it out.

Builders mark?
Dog tags from a forgotten war?
Maybe a Boat ID number?

JT, I think those are the sling location tags. I saw some like those and they were marked "sling". Ben

Are there four tags (two on each side) that are located where slings would not interfere with your running gear?

Right you are.

I used a magnifying glass and it looks like mine are marked "LIFT"
