Transom and swim platform

So im looking to add a swim platform to my new to me 28te. I was wondering if anyone knew if the 1998 te had a solid transom or if it is cored? If cored is it balsa or plywood?

Any opinions on aftermarket swim platforms? Im thinking of using plasteak cuz it looks "yachty"
