Air filter for Lehman 4D61?

Anyone have any ideas for how to get an air filter for a Lehman 4D61; or how to go about fabricating one?

Sorry do not know your engine. We went to a farm store, might have been Tractor Supply Co. They had filters of many descriptions, some for shop vacs. It is a real idea place. When we needed a filter for our Nissan we did a little reconstruction of the original base with clothes hanger wire. Went to Lowes, got some mesh gutter cover put air cond. filler material over that, worked great and looked alright. Our engines are not as fussy about air quality as their gas cousins. Thanks, Mark.

DCatSea, two places I forgot we're Northern Tool and Habor Frieght, they have a number of air filters for things like air compressors, lawn and garden, and spraying equipment. Happy hunting. Mark

Does that just clamp to the hose? It should clamp to a metal tube?.

My screen was toast so I used original air filter tube. Same diameter.

American Diesel (http://americandieselcorp.com/) carries most everything Lehman since Bob was one of the developers of the Ford/Lehman.

Call Brian, his son, Bob doesn't hang around the office much anymore, and tell him what you want/need and he can answer any questions F/L.

I personally would be careful with additions unless Brian can give you a cross-over, which for normal expendables he will do.

Unfortunately AD no longer maintains pieces parts for the Lehman 4D61. Or alternatively maybe I caught them on the wrong day. "Nope don't got em, can't get em". Try eBay etc. For us poor 4D61 owners we have to be scroungers.
