Lehman 120 - 1979

Post by dspanier »

I have an ld Lehman 120. The exaust manafold has a small (jelly been or 2) size hole on the bottom at the rear just before the exaust elbo attachmnet point. My mechanic said to replace the whole manafold ($2500 part only). Has any one had any experiance repairing a hole. or is it not smart to?

Any one know another maechanic I could get a second opinion from in South Florida?

Thanks

Doug

JB Weld is pretty impressive stuff, but I would think that you would want something like that to be as reliable as possible. I'd replace the manifold.

Manifold

Putting on a new manifold is not brain surgery. I would check with American Diesel on the price for that part. They will walk you through the installation. I have the engine manual for the 120 in pdf format if you need it.

I have a written manual but would love a copy of the pdf file if you wouldn't mind. I would be very appreciative.
