Survey advice?

Post by BobHaze »

Well, we've finally settled on a nice 2001 28 TE, offer made and accepted, and the survey will be this week. Any advice on specific things the surveyor and I should look for with this model?

I'd make sure seacocks are in good working order. Hoses aren't suffering from dry rot. Might be worth having a continuity check done on the anodes and also check the condition of electrical terminal ends. Are you having an engine survey done at the same time?

Yes: general survey, engine survey, and sea trial.
