Albin 31 - rear bench

Post by tadel001 »

I am looking to add a rear folding bench to the our Albin 31. I was curious if anyone has one and could send pictures or describe it? Thanks

I don't have one, but looked at the folding bench seats at Birdsall Marine Design (marineproducts.net). I can't get behind the transom wall to install something like this, but they seem to have a good product.

There is one in I think, the pictures forum. The guy who bought RobS' Toy Rific had one made out of King Starboard and it really looks the business. Fitted to a 28 TE in this case.

Thanks! That is essentially what I want to do. I am thinking of making mine out of wood. Thanks for the link.

I have one on my 31, and I had one on my 28. My 31 is not here so I can't send a new picture. Here is the one I had on the 28. Sorry I could not find one with the cushion on it. It folds down, and you can place the cushion on it. This is how I keep it on both boats. I only pull out the cushion when I have guest on board. It takes about 5 minutes to put the cushion on.
