Albin 25 DeLuxe, the way I like it

Post by zonk84 »

After years of use and enjoyment my dear '77 Albin 25 developed tiny hair cracks all over the deck. I decided that while I'm at it to expand the refurbish with a little bit of modernizing. I bought Bomar ports, large and small and had them fitted along with new restoration. I'm on the Adriatic sea so the hot and sunny conditions are similar to Florida, except lower humidity. With hundreds of islands all in close proximity Adriatic Sea is boaters paradise. Replaced bridge side windows a while back with slide open options. Here's a few photos.

2 solar panels,total 160watts
fridge
electric winch
Yanmar 35hp
custom swim platform
fixed-mounted overall bimini
etc

p.s. I bought enough rubber gasket to replace windows on 2 Albins. After wrestling with one small window in the rear cabin even with a friends help, I decided to scrap the whole project and go with new ports. I gained ventilation and considerable less heat absorption in the cabins. Window moldings are free for the taking. :-)))

How did you do the non- slip? By the looks of the pattern, it appears it was a stick on material.
Looks great.

Very nice, Zonk! Good grief, what kind of critters are you repelling?

As I said in the private emails, 'It is stick-on material and the critters are mice and rats; boaters nightmare!
