New owner of 1994 Albin 28 TE

Post by rasitlin »

Hi all,

Glad to join this informative forum. Just confirm a Albin 28 TE, year of manufacture 1994. I really buy it for the hull as the engine, aesthetics and gel coat are totally bad.

Glad to know so many threads here which will be crucial to guide my restoration processes.

Plan to spend a while to get this great hull back to a great fishing boat.

Hope everyone will help out. Btw, I'm from Singapore.

Rasitlin, Welcome! You'll find lots of help here in your restoration. Sounds like you've got a big job ahead of you. I visited Singapore way back in 1967 and loved it. Ben

I'm reading into the night. So informative. Really begin to appreciate the boat design. Still having a Yamaha boat but the space is really small. This Albin is spacious in so many sense. I will try to submit my progress to chip in my bit when possible.

Rasitlin: Welcome to the group and congra's on the boat find. If you are the right person, young or just one with a lot of free time the boat project will be fun. Been there and done that way too many times. However, it is very special to you when done. Can't say I was always successful. Started 3 such projects, completed one and gave up and sold two
loosing my britches. These are great boats. Had either of my fixer upper's been an Albin would not have given up!

Thank whwells,

Definitely excited and aware of the time and effort required to get things going. Had another boat which is challenging and unyielding.

But that's the fun of boating.
