Launching
I'm pleased to announce that after two and a half years of work, frustrations and flase starts my '84 Albin that used to be an FC, will be launched at Clear Lake Texas. Baring any unexpected flames, sparks or gurgling sounds she will home in Clear Lake and hopefully provide a lot of joy. I appreciate all the advice I have recieved through AOG.
For those starting a redo projects I have one word of advice "RUN"!!!! not not really. Just try to look one step at a time. For me if I tried to absorb the entire project I would have thrown in the towel long ago. I beleive my boat needed a little more than the average. If a 75 year old left handed guy can do it anyone can.

Re: Launching
Congratulations! It'll be nice to see your boat on the water instead of under the shed from now on. Hope everything goes like you planned it. Good Luck. Ben

She looks great, let the good times begin. You are right, most people do not know what we left handers go thru.

Well done Vic,
my dad keeps saying can't you find and old retired guy to fix up you boat......
Looks like they are all fixing up their own boats!
Thanks for your encouragement.

Re: Launching
A project of this scope reminds me of the time I restored a car. As a whole, I was intimidated beyond belief, but I just picked small projects to do. Finish one task and move on to the next. Before I knew it I had no more projects... I was done!
She looks great Vic. I hope you and "Mary Jo" have a lot of great times together. Don't worry, I won't tell your wife! (but I have the feeling she already knows already!)
