Good evening.
I am planning to re-caulk the EXTERIOR surface between main cabin and fly bridge. What type of caulking material do you recommend?

Re: Caulking
There are a lot of posts on the forum regarding this. Opinion seems to be boat life 4000 or 5000. Try putting caulk or caulking into the search box for some more details.

Re: Caulking
I recently replaced the caulk in the pilot house to deck joint with 3M 4000UV Polyether adhesive and would highly recommend it. 3M recommends it for places where appearance is important and it is beautiful for caulk, smooth, white, shiny and UV resistant.

Re: Caulking
Boat life is more flexible, 4000uv is more ridged. I'd use 4000.
Tape seams
Keep a small cup of mineral spirits to pull your finger down the seams with
Do small3-4' section as it cures fast
Keep a box to put the tape in as you pull it off

Re: Caulking
Thanks so much for the info and tips. I did pick up some 3M 4000 UV for the job and will be heading down to the boat tomorrow to get her done! Thanks again.
