Re: Penninsular 300 hp fuel burn
I have this engine in my 28TE as does my good friend. He has a Floscan in his so has actual accurate burn rates.
Typically, you should expect 1.5mpg to 1.7mpg, but in calm seas and no tide, can get 2mpg.
Btw, did you find a Peninsular mechanic in eastern CT?

Hey John, Thanks for the info, yes I use John Bayruether Marine, he will do just about anything and is very good, he has a mobile shop so he comes to the Yacht Club where I keep my boat,

Re: Penninsular 300 hp fuel burn
I generally average 4-5 GPH over the season. I don't worry too much about following it day-to-day. At cruise I'm guessing it to be 9-10.Pete wrote:What numbers can I expect for fuel burn on a 28te with Penninsular 300hp?
