2004 35 CB Beede Instrument cluster info

Post by Deedee »

We have a 2004 35 CB. Just got it in March of this year. Our instrument cluster has four functions - fuel, oil, temp and volts and it's made by Beede. The oil pressure does not work. Had a mechanic check it and he tested everything with a mobile cluster and its not the sending unit; its in the cluster. All the others work.

So I call Beedee and seems that they make custom instrument clusters and did so for Albin and said that typically the boat manufacturer will send their specs to Beedee and they build accordingly. So it's unique to the builder and the particular boat of couse.

I have the part number and nothing comes up when I Google it (maybe extra one out there) so thought that someone in the forum may have some info for me. My local marine electronics dealer said he could check it out but I thought I would see if this forum has some information.

Thank,
Deedee

Could you send the gauge cluster to Beede for repair? Are you confident in the mechanics diagnostic work? Senders go bad more than gauges do.. If all else fails you have plenty of room on that dash to install a stand alone 2" vdo oil pressure gauge.

Beede is not interested in repairing - and Yes confident in the diagnostic of oil pressure. Wish it was a sender. So will see what our next step is. Thanks for the suggestion

Did he verify you get proper ohms right at the gauge and not down at the sender, in order to rule out a wiring issue.

I don't know that. But I'll inquire this week. Thanks
