1971 albin 25 aft stuffing box

does anyone have a picture or drawing of the stuffing box where the shaft leaves the cabin and exits at the prop. my old one is still as when new I believe and has no packing rope or such, just grease. anyone else have this?

have replaced old albin motor with yanmar 20

Our '71 has what I believe is the original stuffing box (comparing it to the owner's manual). It only needs grease for servicing and the only precaution was to never apply grease under pressure, just fill the cavity and re-seal the cap.

Have a 1972 Albin 25 just removed
for inspection. Has two seals & a
bushing. It is original with no wear.
Just cleaned & put it back. You should
be able to match up new seals @ your
local parts house. Couldn't find the
same kind of hose to couple it with
mine was bad. Replaced it with 1 1/2
plastic suction hose. Will keep my
fingers crossed.

Or Marine Wet Exhaust Hose is a good choice.
