TINY head

Post by Sven_G »

We've rented a number of A25s over the years and we don't remember any of their heads being as incredibly cramped as Bali's.

Neither Nancy or I are large (5' 9" & 150 and 5' 3" 110) and since our winter home is a single-head sloop we are used to marine head space issues. So we're wondering if there might be something about Bali's head that has made it extra tiny ? Is the raised platform under the throne pretty standard ? How about the raised floor in the foot-well ?

Despite my last two questions we're enjoying every bit of the local cruising here in the Baltic, on Bali, we're just trying to make it more perfect.

Thanks for any insights.

The sink has been removed in ours, leaving a more spacious room. The galley sink is so close it seems that a sink in that tiny room is superfluous. But I suppose you would be reluctant to rip the sink out of a rental? :)

Our boat came to us with no lavatory in the head, and the Jabsco Marine Toilet was loose (not mounted), along with a loose holding tank. We've installed a Nature's Head Composting toilet instead, with its back facing the electrical panel. We've plenty of knee room!

Do either of you have any strategically placed handhold to help you hover in midair while getting dressed again, especially since "Ladies and Gentlemen, please be seated" certainly applies when there is no room to stand anyway.

This is the only "have to solve it" issue we've got with Bali that I don't see a solution for.

Thanks for the replies.
