Happy 4th of July

Post by Tree »

As pretty much the only active Brit on the boards, I feel I should fly the flag from this side of the water and wish you all a Happy 4th of July.

I assume most of you will be with family today or hopefully out on the water with them.

Eat, Drink and be Merry!

Thanks Tree. Unfortunately I think Arthur will keep some of us off the water today. It's been a long time since I can remember having crumby weather on the 4th of July. BTW, those are my 2 girls in the picture on the bow on the top/left of the screen, back in the spring of 2008, they've grown just a tad since then!

Thanks Tree! As Rob said .. Arthur is steaming up the Atlantic coast dampening many boating plans. The 4th is usually graced with stellar weather! This year we're headed to the 4th of July parade that we never see because we're boating. Some good friends host every year with front row porch seats and a wonderful brunch. The per usual 25 or so suspects will be there drinking bloodies! Fireworks postponed until the 5th.

I love the show John set-up for your girls Rob!

I'm thinking that was the work of Gery Garcia, but maybe he originally created it and now John is in control, not sue....

I do believe you maybe right. I have a vague memory of his animations.

You are correct. That is the work of Gery. I can only take credit for sending him the photo and then keeping it alive over the years. Happy 4th to everyone. We spent the evening at the marina. Arthur's winds sucked all the water out and Afterglow was sitting on the bottom. Less that 2 feet!

Thank you, Lee! We cleaned up the aftermath of Hurricane Arthur, waited for the water Arthur sucked out to return, then headed off on KP Duty for some good old patriotic fun!

Thanks Lee! Like many in the Northeast our fireworks were delayed by some pesky weather.

Turned into a beautiful weekend!!
