I saw a very cool tool last weekend at the marina. A fellow was working on removing several coats of paint off the bottom of his 47' lobster boat. I watched for a few minutes and just had to ask about it.
He was using a Fein power tool to scrape off the paint. He could move right along and it left the gel coat perfectly intact and all the paint gone with no dust. He showed me how it worked and also some of the other uses. He put on a cutting blade and held it to his hand and turned it on, it didn't touch his skin but when held to an oak block it cut right through. He finished his rather large boat in a day and a half. I need to get one of those for myself.
