Peninsular engine how many hours should I expect.?

Looking at a beast w 2100 hrs is this a safe move?
Everyone's says they are not "theee" engine... But see good things here I'm confused....

I would certainly consider it. Good bet would be to get the engine serial number and call Matt at Penninsular. I'd also get an oil analysis. Does it appear to have been properly maintained?

My buddy has a Peninsular in his 28TE with 2700 hours and it runs perfectly. Doesn't smoke a bit, and gets the same economy as my Peninsular with 800 hours.

Anyone that knows me, knows that I am not a mechanic. But, I have been told a well maintained diesel will easily see 8-10k. Then again, I did buy swamp land in Maryland. :lol:
