I have 2 cleats on the bow pulpit ,,, what are they used for and how? thanks

Can you post a picture? I'd assume they are for anchoring.

FYI - If you have a windlass you are still supposed to tie off your anchor line. The windlass is not rated for the continuous loads of being at anchor, just the dropping and retrieval of the anchor.

Those are CHOCKS. Feed lines thru them when tied to a dock, piling, rafted to another boat, etc.

I use them when tied up in a large slip, like a 40' slip. Lines then cross on top of the deck to the opposite cleat.
