New Albin 28 TE owner (Toy-rific)

Post by Jforesta »

Today I became the new proud owner of Toy-rific.
This boat is as amazing as it's past owner. I have never met an owner that has as much experience and pride of ownership as RobS.
I want to thank him for making this transaction so easy. I know he will miss Toy-rific and wish him Godspeed as he Persues his next love.
Thank you Rob. Hope to see you continue with AOG.

Welcome, Joe, and congratulations! You've bought a meticulously-maintained boat, and I'm sure you're going to be very happy with her. I'll be thinking of you later this week as you make the trip to take her to her new home.

Just got my 4AM AOG daily digest email. After less than two hours of sleep I woke up at 1AM and haven't been able to fall back asleep since, gee I wonder why!!

Thanks for the kind words and ditto on making the transaction an easy one. Talk to you soon.

Joe, I don't know if you looked at any other boats but you will never find one so well kept as Toy-rific. Having everything set up correctly and in good shape is actually better than a new boat.

Thanks John. If you could throw me the keys for JV for the weekend of July 25th to 27th that would be great!

Delivered. I don't think it really hit me that she was no longer mine until I stepped away from the helm after exiting Shinnecock Canal and Joe took over. The considerable "bump" in my bank account earlier in the week helped ease the pain but it was all bitter, no sweet.

What a day we had, over 100nm and barely a sprinkle on the windshield. The canal locks were open and running strong. I think the only reason they did not close it was that it was 6AM on a weekday. At the strongest point of the current she was turning over 2,600 rpms and we were making 3.5 knots SOG.

Best of luck Joe. As my folks said to you the other day - if you enjoy this boat even half as much as my family has you'll be good!

What a trip we had. Toy rific performed admirably. Perfect day with great company. Thank you Rob for accompanying me on my maiden voyage.
We have been out on the boat all weekend enjoying every minute with her.
Rob, any time you feel lonesome, Northport is a short drive.
All the best,
Joe

Rob,
The keys will be waiting at Townsends - bring your truck and dingy (or your new boat if ready?)
