AM/FM Antenna
I haven't seen this question before. What/where did Albin use/place for a conventional radio antenna? I'm losing signal for my radio and I refuse to spend $200 a year for satelite radio.

Re: AM/FM Antenna
Mine came without one. I installed a splitter via the vhf antenna cable and it works great and does not effect the vhf signal.

Re: AM/FM Antenna
We were just wondering the same thing as we have no visible antenna. The reception at our marina is crummy, but it is Vermont and we are kind of in a hole.

Re: AM/FM Antenna
Our 28 had a wire antenna in the space behind the radio between the liner and the hull. I put a proper antenna up on the arch.
This is the "real" antenna I used: http://www.digitalantenna.com/amfmantennas.html
See wire antenna example here: http://www.spadepot.com/shop/AMFM-In-Ca ... OgodVgQAmg
I do highly recommend Sirius/XM radio. Most stations have no commercials and you can get great reception just about anywhere. Depending on your entertainment desires their subscriptions can be pretty reasonable. Many current radios support it as an add-on. It does require an additional antenna, but the cable is quite thin and easy to run.

Re: AM/FM Antenna
I have a removable, after market Sirius/XM unit on my truck. A bought a Sirius portable speaker system that works in conjunction with the unit installed on my truck. I just unplug it from the truck and plug it into the dock on the speaker. Works great.

Re: AM/FM Antenna
I have a 12v powered antenna mounted inside behind the lower station gages (ceiling).
Works fine.
