Best way to carry a kayak on 28
Any suggestions on carry a tandem kayak? Have you tried mounting it on the cockpit roof or rigged a way to hang it alongside? I tried a friend's tandem kayak on the roof but the radar arch got in the way and it stuck out forward too far. Will appreciate any suggestions! Thanks, Chuck

Stand up paddleboards, 2 of them, go right out the transom door. Not sure if the kayak would fit as it has a curve to it and it's bulky.

We bought two stainless racks (J shaped) that clamp to the side rail. I have posted a photo.
I believe we bought them from: http://www.shiptoshoremarine.com/ is Gig Harbor, WA. I couldn't find the racks on their website, however you might want to contact them for information on their source for the racks.
With a quick search (kayak racks for boat rails) of the web, I found this site: http://www.sportsracker.com/rack-descriptions.html. They have a variety of similar racks.
Our racks work well. We hoist the kayak up the side with lines attached to the bow and stern, set the kayak in the racks and tie it on. We have covered the racks with foam pipe insulation to protect the kayak.
