It's always something

Post by jleonard »

Yesterday I re-installed the new Balmar high output alternator and smart regulator.
After testing it out at the dock I went to the bridge to adjust the upper tach. Pulled the instrument panel to get to the back and the adjustment screw. Had to dick around with it but finally got the right size screwdriver in there and made the adjustment. Put everyting back.
Went below to shut down....and nothing. No power at the switches, gages, nothing.
Shut down the eninge manually and said to myself "you musta done something dummy".
Went above and pulled the panel out again...yup, wire connector broke off the upper start switch.
Whew, Ok, all better now.
