Charles W Morgan
1st time past the Mystic Highway bridge since 1941 so the legend says.
It was towed out of it's berth at Mystic Seaport and towed to New London saturday morning where it will get fitted with ballast.
Then it goes on a multi port tour before returning to Mystic in August.
There were thousands in various places along the river watching. I felt bad for any vehicles waiting to drive over the bridge...it was open for almost an hour as the Morgan and others following went thru.
We are in the dinghy in the foreground of the last pic.

Re: Charles W Morgan
Thanks for the pictures. Last time we saw the Morgan we visited the Seaport in our Albin when she was on the hard for her refit. What a project and she's looking good!

Re: Charles W Morgan
Thanks all for those great photos! I'm taking my Albin 28 to Vineyard Haven this weekend to go see the Morgan. Will have artist Elizabeth Mumford aboard so she can take some photos for her paintings. If any of you see Compass Rose out of Hyannis, please say hello!
