Anyone seen this boat?

Post by Surveyor »

I'm just casually looking for an Albin 25 until I make my move back to open water in the next 3 months.
There is a boat for sale in Connecticut on Yachtworld. It has been for sale for years. It sits on a trailer, it's interior has been painted and it has a low hour engine. The story as far as the salesman goes, is it was full of mold when the yard bought the boat from the previous owner.
Does anyone know this boat or has personally seen it?
I'm currently in Nebraska, but will try to see the boat in the next few months.
Thanks for any input,
Rob

Not half bad looking in the ad. Price fairly reasonable. Same year as my boat which I paid a lot more than that for. But mine came with aluminum trailer, davit mounted dinghy, a $500 trolling motor, new cushions and full mast and sail rig.

The one in CT repowered with Beta engine less than 10 years old. Probably has 1,000 hours or less on it. That alone worth $10K. Galvanized trailer, lots of electronics including radar. Nicro vents on the cabin tops. If those are day/night solar vents in working condition, are worth $150 each right there. Could be sweet deal. Cushions and canvas probably run another $2K to $3K. Swim platform worth $700 plus. I like the split stern rail and extra cleats along the side. My stern rail goes all the way across and I have to do a limbo act to climb down to the swim platform.
