New FL Member 2004 35 CB

Post by Deedee »

We are the proud owners of a 2004 35 CB - Miller Time. During the month of February, after 27 glorious years we sold our Brewer 44 sailboat and purchased the Albin. In 04 we checked out the 32+2 and saw the 35 which is what we knew we'd eventually get. We were very fortunate that there was one in Naples FL (we live in Cape Coral) with the interior configuration we wanted (queen bed) and the extended cockpit with storage.

She cleaned up great (with a lot of elbow grease) and we're very happy with her. We attended the 2014 FL Albin Owners Group rendezvous in Bradenton (April) and came away with numerous projects to improve the cruising and storage capabilities. My sailboat had an abundance of storage and fridge/freezer space; a challenge for me with this boat. We should wrap up these improvements next week which will make a tremendous difference. When complete I'll post what we did which was based on seeing several boats at the rendezvous. One issue we had when we bought her was a leaky forward water tank. I'll post separately on how we went about fixing the leak which is still in progress. I'm using a product called Microseal which I saw on this and other forums.

So our new journey begins...

Welcome aboard. What better way to kick off your ownership than by attending a rendezvous. I remember seeing the for sale collateral on your new boat. She sure caught my eye. Looking forward to hearing more about your fixes and upgrades.
