Cool Steering Wooden Wheel, folding seating

Post by northandsouth »

Where can I find a wooden steering wheel for our 28 Flush?

What about the folding rear bench seat on newer 28 TE's... Found a few post but could not find manufacture of the mounting brackets.

Any ideas on a welded aluminum extended top?

Steering wheels are from Vetus, same people that supplied most of the bow thrusters. There are probably many others that will work. Lots of after market folding bench seats, just need to figure out what works best for you.

Santa brought me one a few years ago. Call these guys and tell them you have an Albin.

Here is a link to Birdsall Marine's web page for marine bench seats. They are available in different widths & upholstry choices as well as different back style options which you will probably utilize the rear coaming pad as a back rest anyway.. They put out a great quality product. I had them build and customize a leaning post for a prior boat and I couldn't have been more pleased.

Here is a Link to a recent thread on bench seating where IrishWake was considering a Birdsall bench. Jump in on that thread and see how he made out.
