Albin 25 stern deck vent covers broken..

Post by DesertAlbin736 »

Albin 25 owners probably know which vents I'm talking about. Those two little round plastic vent caps at the very aft end of the deck between the aft cabin rear window and the transom. Located right where one can't help but trip over them, and the sun-brittled plastic snaps like a toothpick at the slightest bit of pressure when stepped on by a clumsy oaf like myself. Anyone know if/where replacements can be found, or are they un-obtainable Albin OEM parts that I need to try and fabricate some kind of homemade replacement?

Yep had the same problem as you. I measured up the hole and bought some that were about the same off ebay. The tops were a tad bigger but they done the job.

Will have to keep looking. You're talking about eBay in the UK? Haven't seen anything like that here in the States.

Hi Denchen, I'm not far from you south of the Wash :) I also need to replace my rear vents, have you got a link to the ones you got from Ebay?

Sorry Roger but they are a couple of years old now and they do not show up in my Ebay account, and I didnt keep any paperwork. The ones I got are very much like the ones ``Motorama Hull Euroliner`` have now on Ebay. I see ASAP have some nice stainless ones that are a fair price

Many thanks for the replies, I've been out all day and just got back in, so I'll check them out this evening. Stainless steel would be a nice alternative to the plastic ones.
