My husband and I are planning to to the Loop in several years. We have looked at all the Albin 27 FC we could find online. Most are in Florida or New England. We are willing to drive up and down the pacific coast if there was an Albin here with an owner willing to show it to us. If we do indeed love her, we could then begin the search to buy (which would probably involve flying east). Learning that maybe the Albin isn't the boat of our dreams is well worth the trip. If you have this boat or know of someone on this forum or elsewhere who has one. Please message me or email. Thank you

River-girl: Would like to invite you to attend the PNW Rendezvous in July. We have had one or more 27's at each meet. There is at least one notification already of a 27' Member attendee. Check the Rendezvous section of this forum for dates and additional information. If I can be of more help send me a PM. There is a nice hotel at the Roche Harbor Marina that you could stay in if you are not bringing a boat. If I hear of a 27' in NO. Cal. or Southern, Or. will let you know.
I have friends who are doing the Loop with a 27' Albin and have been for the past several years at about 4-6 weeks per season and then their boat is stored along the way until the next season. Depending upon when you plan to do the loop thier's (in excellent) condition may be the right one for your purchase. They are from the NW and do not plan to bring the boat back and will sell it there. Would be happy to put you in touch with them to see when they expect to complete the loop and post the boat for-sale.

There is also a member in the Portland (Oregon) area with a 27FC he said he'd be looking to sell in a year or so. Can't recall his username though.
Found it. His username is coolchange. Looks like he might be selling his at the end of the year. Sounds like an awesome setup, including a trailer too. I've still got kids in school for the next several years so for the time being my Albin fund is instead going to tuition!

Thank you jay, for now we are focusing on the north west as we are in the SF Bay Area. But we do occasionally get back east. Thank you. Ellen

Rivergirl: Coolchange has confirmed their attendance for the Roche Harbor Rendezvous. Great chance to meet the group and see their 27' up close. As I said previously their are accommodations at Roche and you can get their by ferry from Anacortes, Wa.
