Engine Room Hull Vent

Post by Coho Spirit »

We are looking for a (New or Used) engine room Hull Vent for a 1999 31 Albin TE. The boat in the slip next to use broke a line and damaged our vent. It is the vent with the A. Hope you can be of some help as everone so far has said good luck.

Coho Spirit: It maybe that the Hull Vent is the same on the 31 & 35. At this point I do not know who made the vent. I will ask some of my friends with the 31 series.
Did want to say Hello since you are in one of my favorites area's of Northern Oregon. We MH Camp in Newport and our favorite place their for dinner is the Tidal Raves in Depo Bay just to your north. Actually was not aware of a 31TE Albin in Newport. Our home is too your south but we spend a good deal of time in Oregon or at least did so before having our 35te in Anacortes, Wa.
My former Luhrs was in Brookings, Or. for years.
We have a really fun PNW RENDEZVOUS up in the Puget Sound area if you ever boat that far north? Happy to hear of the 31 and hope you find the vent timely.
You may well hear from others soon. Does your vent have a name or serial number on the outside for research? Won't be up to my boat until March to look at it up close.

Is this the one that you're looking for? This is what's on my 2006.

Lots of different sizes available. Make sure to take some measurements to get the right one. Available in "aluminum" or stainless. "ASV100" on my 31 .. married to the Dorade Box: DBOX100

Thanks for the reply. Our vent is the same shape and has a large letter A with a single bar runing aft and forward in the center of the vent. I'll take the measurements and see if they will work in case I can't find a new or used one. Thank you again for the help and have a great day! DICK

If the vent is plastic, maybe a duplicate of your good one could be made with a 3D printer. Size may be an issue, though.

I think this is the vent you have (click image to enlarge) but the Vetus should be a doable replacement.

Good picture Rob. Those vents were from the days of Vetus making custom vents for Albin. Years ago they were posted on the Vetus site under their custom builder work ... just like the days of the custom helm wheel. Dimiensions of what I posted should be the same.
