Can we build an Albin-specific checklist for surveyors?
Hi all. I know every boat built has issues and every used boat will need some work. Maybe we as a group could create a master checklist of recurring Albin-specific issues that we've come across that would lead to more comprehensive surveys so buyers will know what to expect and have an even better experience. Albin Marine could also look at the list as they refine their manufacturing processes too.

One issue that will be a problem is that components that make up our Albins systems are in many cases different. About the only thing that is the same is the hull/liner/cabin componants etc. We all seem to have different windless, AC's, pumps, engines, heads, bow thrusters and electronics which seem specific to certain years or models.
I can only speak for my surveyor but he checked everything imaginable and things I didn't even know existed. Then he pulled the boat and hit everything on the bottom with a hammer. What he didn't hit, he ran a moisture meter over. I'm not sure there is anything Albin specific that he could have checked. The survey on my 28 took over 6 hours. I was very pleased to say the least that he only found 8 small items that needed repairs and I negotiated those out with the seller.
