New Members Greg and Stephanie

Post by Gmschuler »

We would like to introduce ourselves as a new Albin 31 TE owner. We recently finished our purchase of this very nice 2002 TE. This boat has a single Yanmar 420 HP. Over the years we have owned several boats and have found there is always a compromise somewhere in the equation. I love to fish and Stephanie loves to cruise the San Juan Islands. WE are moving from a 28 Grady White to this boat. I looks like it will fish just fine and the accommodations for cruising look great. I have the winter to turn it into our boat before next year. First thing, a name change....not to worry I have been down this path before, we know the rules! The new name will be BLUE HERON.
We both look forward to meeting some of you in person and certainly will look at this web site for information. I am in the marine fire suppression business so feel free to ask any questions about fire equipment you might have.

Welcome guys and congratulations on the new boat. The 31 is a great boat and we have members up in the northeast who fish theirs extensively, so I don't think you'll have any issues there.

Welcome Greg and Stephanie! I have organized the Pacific Northwest Albin Owners rendezvous for the past two years. We also get together informally at the Seattle Boat Show, meeting for dinner at a nearby restaurant. So if you would like to join us watch for announcements in the rendezvous section of AOG.

We had two 31's at this year's rendezvous. They are terrific boats.

Cheers,
Dave

We always go to the boat show. We will keep our eye out for more information.
If anyone is interested in attending the Pacific Marine Expo in Nivember, let me know and we will send you an invitation.

Greg & Stephanie: A Happy Welcome abroad to you both. i join Dave in recommending you join the group at the Seattle Boat Show. Great time to meet the members and plan the summer Rendezvous. The 31is a great boat and likely as an around one the best choice for both fishing and cruising. There is also lots of support for the single engine.

I am also a former 24 Grady White off shore owner. They are fine fishing boats, but the Albin is so much more.

It is time for me to winterize and am on the way to Anacortes to get that done. I would like to hear about your fire suppression system. Lots of cruising in the NW Islands is the plan for next year.

Howard,
Since you keep your boat at Anacortes you probably know our boat. It was formerly kept at Anacortes and the old name was Nautibouy. We most defenetly will connect at the Seattle Boat show. Regarding the fire suppression systems, I plan on providing information regarding the new clean and green agents as well at the older Halon systems. Thanks for the response, hope to meet you soon.

Greg and Stephanie, welcome aboard.

Hope you'll join us at the next rendezvous.

I do remember seeing Nautibuoy in Anacortes.

Welcome aboard Greg. I had looked at Nautibuoy on YW and she looks like a great boat.

Glad to see that you found your way to AOG. You'll find a great group of owners here that are always willing to reach out.

Cheers!

Greg: There have been 4 31's at Anacortes Marina. Don't recall the name of your former boat as being one of those.
Which Marina in Anacortes did you boat come from? I have seen a few 28's in & out of Cap Santa/ and there are a few other Marina's around that I rarely visit.

I see Blue Moon has seen your boat around Anacortes.

This was the week we officially named our boat. With a bottle (large bottle I might add) of champaign we toasted to the north, south, east and west! It was dark cold and windy outside but warm inside. Stephanie and I toasted to new adventures. We look forward to cruising in the "Blue Heron".
I am not sure how to post a picture but we are very happy with our new logo.
Happy Holidays!
