I hope you have your answer by now.
You do need to get the book.
Any good quality 15/40 meeting CJ-4 Valvoline Premium Blue is what Cummins themselves offer but Shell, Chevron or Standard ,.........
About 15Litres or so. read the attachment courtesy |Tony Athens, Boatdiesel

I use the same. Best price around here (CT) is at Autozone. Significantly cheaper 5 gallon pails than anyone else. If memory serves it's right around $70.Pitou wrote:Always been a fan of Shell: Rotella T 15-40

Doug, try Tractor Supply. I've found them less costly, esp when they run their sale.

Lots of Rotella T users here.
I usually jump on the BJ's deals at $33 to $35 for 3 / 3 gallon jugs / carton. It's offered 2 to 3 times each year.

I don't even look at the price and just pay for it with my corporate card, Infiniti calls for Rotella 15-40, right?

Rob,
Yes correct.
But I can't use it in my, or my wife's Tesla.

Re: Oil viscosity recommended? (450 Cummins)
Well then Rob, just mosey on over to West Marine and pay $85 for a 5 gallon drum on sale! (Quite the bargain, usually $120!!!)
I actually don't find that West's prices are that out of line with most marine retailers for many products, and you can't beat the convenience, but wow! Don't buy your oil there!!
