Nissan LD28m - pencil zincs - Need Input

Can anyone tell me where the pencil zincs are (should be) located on my Nissan LD28 ?

I guess I need to look closer. After a fair amount of contortionism I have not been able to find them.

The marinizaion manual and it makes no mention of zincs. Its only 10 pages so i'll make it a pdf and mail it to forum admin perhaps they'll place it in the document lib.

Curious if anyone came up with answer to this. I have been able to locate zincs and can't seem to find any mention in the owners manual.

Not that I am aware of. I sent the pdf if the manual to be posted in the document section of the forum but it never appeared either way here is the link. https://www.dropbox.com/s/biha6k4yu8oc3 ... 20ld28.pdf. it makes no mention of zincs.

We owned a 27 foot aft cabin Albin with the Nissan engine and faced the same question. We could not find any zinc on the raw water side of the engine.

We installed a zinc holder in the system and bonded it to the engine. See link.http://catalog.orcamarine.com/item/mari ... ngs/300395

I've been searching for zincs with no luck. I have a 1987 FC with the Nissan engine, have the owners manual and there is no mention of them. If by chance you find anything please post.

So, I found there are no zincs. However, I have a new problem. My heag exchanger blew apart. Any idea where I might get a new one?

How did you "bond it tot the engine"?
