Fueling

Post by seasalt »

Am I correct in assuming that if the large connecting valves on the three tanks are open that it is necessary only to fuel from one side of the boat to fill them all?

I am getting fuel this weekend for the first time and starting my fuel log.

What burn rate are you guys getting with twin 370 Cummins?

Hi Ron,

Yes, that is correct. The only thing "special" that I do is wait a minute after the fuel backs into the fill pipe for the tanks to equalize, and then I can usually get a few more gallons in. Only important if you're trying for a full fill up.
